Microsoft is offering free technology summer camps to kids at their retail stores across the country. Students can take classes on movies, digital arts and gaming. A 9 year-old in East LA accomplished his goal of funding his dream to attend college by building a handmade arcade of cardboard, plastic and household materials. For $1, you receive two turns at Caine’s Arcade. For $2, you receive 500 turns and a Fun Pass. Today, there is a now a Caine’s Arcade Foundation to fund creativity and entrepreneurship in young kids. Start small, dream big.
Honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on January 16, 2012 by helping the community! Join fellow Angelenos at the Los Angeles Academy Middle School and assist an underserved school become a more engaging, educational, and colorful place for children to learn and play. Volunteers will paint educational murals, create engaging blacktops game and activities, build benches and plant green benches.
